by Guillaume Lepecq | Nov 27, 2017

logoIn October 2017, the International Security Ligue became a partner of CashEssentials. Alf Göransson, Chairman of the International Security Ligue says, "It is high time for the industry to adopt a pro-active attitude towards the promotion of cash and support innovation within the cash cycle."

Founded in 1934, the International Security Ligue is a worldwide association of the leading companies in the  area of private security. Over the years the Ligue has played a vital role in defining, establishing and maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards of the private security industry, worldwide. This has been achieved through the exchange of ideas and experiences between the members of the leading companies from the represented countries.

The International Security Ligue represents more than 2 million employees from more than 120 countries."Cash has great benefits for society and it’s important that the debate is more balanced and not only the result of aggressive lobbies. We welcome the International Security Ligue in the CashEssentials initiative" says Philippe Barreau, Managing Director, Security Inks and Solutions SICPA. As a mark of the high esteem in which the Ligue is held worldwide it is represented in a consultative capacity as a non-governmental organization at the United Nations and the European Union.

CashEssentials is as an independent initiative, which aims at offering a platform for debate about the payments and monetary ecosystems, to conduct and foster high-quality research on cash and its future. CashEssentials was launched in April 2016,  with original content is based on the white paper Cash Essentials - Beyond Payments. Guillaume Lepecq, author of the paper and co-founder of the initiative says “the support of the cash management industry is critical to ensure that cash continues to adapt, evolve and innovate in fast-changing payments landscape.”

CashEssentials is supported by SICPA, a privately-owned company, providing secure identification, traceability and authentication solutions.
