India launches Cardless Cash Withdrawal

ICICI Bank of India has launched a cardless cash withdrawal service, where customers no longer require a payment card to withdraw cash from ATMs.

ICICI Bank, India’s multinational banking and financial services company headquartered in Mumbai, launched last 21 January its ‘Cardless Cash Withdrawal’ service. Customers no longer need a payment card and will now be able to withdraw cash from the bank’s network of more than 15,000 ATMs using their mobile banking application, iMobile. According to the bank, Cardless Cash Withdrawal brings an advantageous, simple and safe alternative to withdrawing cash 24/7:

The offering of ‘Cardless Cash Withdrawal’ from iMobile enables our customers to withdraw cash securely and conveniently for everyday usage and purchases, all from the convenience of their mobile phone. We at ICICI Bank will continue to focus on innovations in technology at all channels and touch-points that will bring more convenience to the customers.” says Mr. Anup Bagchi, the bank’s Executive Director.
