Paying is probably the most widespread theme with a number of pictures representing very diverse transaction situations: in stores, at markets, in cafés and restaurants, at street vendors or fish-mongers.

Playing is another frequent topic, which includes children playing board games with play money adults playing cards or dominoes as well as gambling.

Religion is also often represented with pictures of donations, offerings, wishing wells.

The artistic dimension of notes and coins has not been forgotten and many pictures highlight a feature of the notes or coins including several images of Che Guevara, the former President of the central bank  of Cuba, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of his death.

The competition continues until 25 October 2017. If you wish to participate or vote, click here.
