India’s « Value of Money » contest held by the National Institute of Design (NID) and the Royal Dutch Kusters Engineering – a global manufacturer of custom-designed currency disintegration systems – was more fruitful than expected. Indeed, instead of three winners, the organisers decided to reward the top four projects.

Thirty participants from across the country have proposed a variety of innovative solutions to process India’s demonetised notes including transforming the notes into construction material, furniture and officeware. The winners were publicly announced during a ceremony on September 25th.
