With the multiplication of paymentA transfer of funds which discharges an obligation on the part of a payer vis-à-vis a payee. More methods and an increasingly fragmented payments space, CashEssentials is always looking for ways to demonstrate cash’s versatility, accessibility and its contribution to a healthy economy. We are more than excited to share with you that Madrid’s Museo Casa de la Moneda is exhibiting some of the most compelling images that illustrates cashMoney in physical form such as banknotes and coins. More in different forms, contexts and uses.
On 6 September 2017, CashEssentials in collaboration with the photo contest platform Wipplay, launched “Happy Cash, When Cash Connects People” as a means to illustrate the multiple facets of notes and coins around the world. In just six weeks, over 1,500 photo entries were submitted showcasing a unique journey in the world of cash. After the success of its initial launch, we decided to embark on yet another photographic adventure with cash as a protagonist last September 2018. The theme was “Cash Me If You Can – The Traveler’s Discreet Companion” where again, over 1,500 entries were received, providing a fascinating look into the world of cash and its perception.
Metálico Vivo Opening Exhibition
On 24 April, Museo Casa de la Moneda opened its doors to the Metálico Vivo Exhibition where we were joined by cash enthusiasts and art admirers. It was a delightful evening spent discussing and debating the numerous social, economic and artistic attributes of cash and the significance of its existence alongside digital payments.
