As part Uber’s food delivery service’s new market expansion strategy, the mobile app will now allow users in Bogotà to settle their bill in cashMoney in physical form such as banknotes and coins. More.
As stated by the general manager of UberEats Colombia: “With UberEats we want to break barriers and reach more and more people. […] With this we will reach new users who are looking for an alternative for their homes. Likewise, we will allow our partnering restaurants to expand their customer base”.
There are 800 restaurants in Colombia’s capital city that have partnered with the mobile app and it is one of the company’s most important markets. By accepting cash, UberEats hopes to expand their reach even further.
UberEats is already active in 200 cities across the globe and Bogotà will be the second city in the world to accept cash payments for food deliveries.
